Militia = Novice combatant - all combatants begin as militia.
Man at Arms = Combatant (Male OR Female) with their own clothes, padding, helmet, gauntlets & primary weapon, who has achieved the required skill level.
Knight Errant = Man at Arms who has passed a spurs test while wearing minimum armour.
Knight Bachelor = Man at Arms who has passed a spurs in full armour (borrowed) and owns multiple weapons. (Allowed to wear spurs)
Knight Banneret = Man at Arms who has passed a spurs test in their own armour and owns multiple weapons. (Allowed to wear spurs and personal colours)
